Space Savings

An Ulrich Planfile or Planfile 2 holds as many drawings as six – five drawer flat file sections.

This seems too good to be true! We accomplish this through the use of our unique compression system. By using 4 rows of conical springs on each of 15 internal pockets, this system maintains bilateral pressure that holds the documents flat, smooth and in place. Reducing the space required for storage.

On the top of each of these pockets is a hanger bar. We have added Delrin rollers at the end of each hanger bar which allow them to shift freely. Whether you have just begun to load the Planfile or are reaching maximum capacity. This free movement makes removal and inspection of documents simple, easier and fast.

Fabric webbing closes the bottom of the 15 internal pockets. This webbing gently grips the bottom of the folder preventing the possibility of documents curling.

Compression System

Function

A unique compression system maintains documents perfectly smooth and flat by using 4 rows of conical springs on each of 15 internal pockets.

Benefit

This system maintains bilateral pressure that holds documents flat and in place without denting. Documents receive the same dispersed and supportive pressure as you maximize the Planfile capacity.

Fabric Webbing to Close Pocket Bottoms

Function

The fabric webbing holds the folders up off the bottom of the cabinet while gripping the bottom edges of the folders.

Benefit

Prevents any possibility of the documents curling at the bottom of the folder, thereby preventing damage to the valuable documents.

Built-in Fire Protection

Function

Double wall construction combining fire resistant insulation with dead air space, providing nearly 5 to 7 times more fire protection than is available from the competition.

Benefit

Controlled testing has indicated this system can withstand extended temperatures of up to 550° F for at least 1 hour with the contents of the cabinet remaining at temperatures generally regarded as safe for documents.

Portable Cabinet
