Over
100 sizes and configurations of Mailroom Sort Modules are available
to ease the flow of any Mailroom Sort function. Proforma Mailroom
Sort Modules are cost effective alternatives to built-in sort module
cabinets. Unlike millwork, modular mailroom furniture can
be reconfigured to meet changing needs to sort mail. Modular mailroom
sort module furniture also qualifies for standard depreciation. |

| Sort Module Materials |

Sort module exterior and vertical dividers constructed of 3/4" 45-50 lb. substrate (particle board) with thermal fused laminate finish and matching or complimentary 3/8" PVC on front edges.

Shelves and shelf standards constructed of steel.

All steel parts are thoroughly cleaned using a 3-stage iron phosphate washer and then coated with an Epoxy-Hybrid powder coat finish using a state-of-the-art electrostatic paint system.

Powder coating provides a superior, attractive, uniform finish that is more durable, scratch and corrosion resistant, and environmentally friendly than liquid paint.

Finished-Back
Modules |
All Proforma sort modules are available with finished
backs. |
Open-Back Modules |
All Proforma sort modules are available with open backs for pass-through
sorting. Just add "OB" suffix to model number. Open back models feature 1/2" label area on front and back shelf edge. Plexiglas doors are an optional accessory for open back modules. View Plexiglas Doors. |
Stacking Modules |
All Proforma sort modules may be stacked with modules of equal width and
depth. When ordering, specify which modules will be stacked. Factory will pre-drill and provide screws fro secure stacking. |
Wall Mounted
Modules |
All Proforma sort modules may be factory-modified for
wall mounting. Add 25% to list price for modification. Proforma provides steel mounting brackets, which must be
field-installed to mount at wall studs. |
Melamine vs. Laminte |
Melamine is a single ply laminate (Kraft paper infused with plastic resin) which is thermally fused to particle board. We use this for sort module cabinet interiors and exteriors, then add PVC edge banding to the edges. This type of material is used for surfaces other than work surfaces where there is no impact or activity.
Laminate is 6 to 8 ply Kraft paper with plastic resin covering the paper layers. We use horizontal grade laminate for table tops and it is applied to particle board at our factory. This provides a more durable finish for surfaces which will be impacted by activity. |
