The Schwab Series 5000 Mixed Media file cabinet line is the preferred choice for both paper and computer record protection. Available in 2, 3, or 4 drawer models - you can customize your cabinet to have from 1-3 UL 125 media protection drawers or UL 350 fire rated drawers.

Schwab's mixed media file cabinets are the only fireproof files offering UL classified protection for all types of media. The paper record storage drawers are tested and rated by UL to be Class 350 - 1 Hr., indicating internal temperatures stay below 350°F when exterior temperatures reach 1700°F. During the same 1700°F test, media drawers were UL classified to maintain an internal temperature below 125°F without exceeding the 80 percent humidity level. This stringent standard is required to protect computer media. The construction of each file protects against magnetic interference as well. Schwab fireproof mixed media file cabinets are legal-size, 31" deep and available in either 2, 3 or 4 drawer versions with the top drawer always for paper storage. These fireproof files may be either right- or left-hinged to allow placement anywhere at home or in the office. They come standard with a multi-media storage insert in each Class 125° drawer, and hanging frames and a follower block in each Class 350° drawer. |

- Additional plunger lock(s) can only be used as a dual control option along with the use of a plunger lock on the top drawer of the cabinet.
- Dual control locking options require both locks to be engaged or disengaged before securing or allowing access to any drawer.
- Independent control locking option allows for drawers that are secured and accessed independently of the other(s).
- When a combination lock or Medeco® key lock is installed on the top drawer of a file, the standard plunger lock is replaced.
- Combination locks cannot be installed on a Class 125° drawer on the mixed media files.
- Combination locks cannot be installed on a Class 350° paper drawer on the mixed media file if the drawer is located immediately above a Class 125° media drawer.
- Plunger locks on the Class 125° drawer of a mixed media file are available only for a drawer hinged to swing to the right.
