Hand assembled high pressure laminate drawer cabinets. Available in 5 standard colors with 13 different edge banding colors 8000 Series cabinets come in unibody or modular construction. They are built with grooved joints, have accuride all steel glides for full extension drawers, and are designed for either hanging or stand up files and are fire resistant.
Designed for front to back filing accommodating 4x6, 5x8, 6x9, 9x12 & 9x15 files. Combination cabinets and other standard cabinets are available. Most popular sizes are shown. Please contact us for information on other options.

"FIRE RESISTANT" does not mean fire proof or fire retardant. After
prolonged exposure to extreme fire
temperatures, they will burn, but usually the sprinklers being set off helps
delay that.
Steel cabinets heat so rapidly that the documents inside them will
spontaneously combust very quickly.
The laminate cabinets not being composed of steel do not heat up as quickly
as steel therefore delaying spontaneous combustion.
We have been told a
few different customers over the years that they had an office fire and
though their files and cabinets were water damaged; they were not destroyed
by the fire and they could get back to work.
We believe the cabinets help the documents to resist bursting into flame by not heating up so quickly.
There is NO guarantee regarding the "fire resistance" it has just been some clients experience. |
