What is the difference between an index and a divider?

Each sheet in a traditional tabbed index set has a different tab title. For example, in an A-Z or numeric index tab set, each index page is labeled with a different letter or number on the tab.

In a divider package, each sheet is exactly the same. You cut out the tabs to meet your needs.
